Why I took a break from blogging..

Over the past 9 months I've posted 2 blog posts and I totally lost my interest in the blogging community. I'm sure you are all aware of the negativity and the scandal of the Irish blogging community over the past few months, I saw it coming miles before shit hit the fan. Blogging to me was a way for me to be creative and to meet like minded individuals online who also enjoyed fashion, beauty, travel and keeping fit and healthy. I loved blogging until it all became way too commercial. I'm like many of you guys, the minute I see 'sponsored post' or 'ad', I swipe on to something else, unless its from a blogger I think is genuine and the products seem authentic to their personality and content. I was in two minds whether or not to delete all of my social media accounts and websites, but then I thought why would I erase the years of hard work I put into my blog. I'm not a big time blogger by any means, but I have a following of over 20 thousand of you so I must have been doing something right. I would like to think I'm quite relatable, I have a normal job, come from a normal family, a normal area, by no means am I rich, famous or have a desire to be. I like makeup, I shop WAYYY too much, I struggle with my self-esteem, I've family shit, friend shit and all other forms of shit that life throws at us once in a while. But I try my best to see the good in everything and stay positive, sometimes by dancing on tables till 4am, by being a goofball with my friends, or stuffing my face with a DZOMINOS. It's all about balance ;)

Over the last 9 months I've just been enjoying life and focusing on being happy. I'm a pharmacy manager now and I enjoy my job for the most part. I work with a great group of people and every day is different - and hectic! I am a trained makeup artist, but due to time restrictions I don't do other peoples makeup as much as I'd like to. I'm spending a lot of time with family and friends, and I'm back on the health kick. I joined a really good gym last July and I absolutely love the headspace it gives me. I still haven't got the diet back on track yet, but hey life is too short to not eat cake. I've a pretty exciting year ahead, I'm going to Budapest with my best friends in May, Forbidden Fruit Festival in June, hopefully a family holiday in June also, Longitude festival in July, another European destination in September... and possibly a trip to Bali in October with a group of girls from Ireland that I don't know (all thanks to Laura's views!) So, for the last time I'm going to give this blogging malarky a go!

I'm going to start posting outfit pictures, makeup photos, recipes, workouts, travel reviews and general life chit chat more regularly. I'd love if you guys could give me a follow and let me know what you'd like to see!
