My updated skincare and haircare regime

So many people ask how I keep my skin looking clear and healthy, and how I can keep blonde hair so glossy and soft. Since I began training as a makeup artist I've a much more in depth knowledge about skincare and I have developed a routine and found products that work for me!

To begin I have normal to oily skin, and it is extremely sensitive! Every single morning and every single evening I cleanse, tone and moisturise my skin.

Step 1: Cleanse

To pre-cleanse and get rid of the heaviest layer of makeup, I apply Garnier Micellar Water with a cotton pad. This removes the majority of makeup or dirt sitting on the skin. This product is not perfumed, it is hypoallergenic and is suitable for sensitive skin. You can pick this up in many pharmacies, supermarkets, even Penneys (or at this link)

I then cleanse my face a second time with a cream cleanser. I work the product into my face to cleanse my pores and make sure that all product and dirt is removed. This cleanser is also from Garnier and is extremely affordable. You can also get this from pharmacies, supermarkets etc and at this link.

To remove my eye makeup I find that the Nivea Daily Essentials Eye Makeup Remover works the best for me. It is an oil and water solution so it helps to break down makeup, and you won't have to scrub your eyes. It even gets rid of Inglot Gel Liner... it's a brilliant product with a small price tag and you can get it here.

Step 2: Tone

Before September I don't think I ever used a toner, and I'm ashamed to say how badly I looked after my skin. Using a toner has become an absolutely essential step in my skincare regime. Toners are used to remove any excess oils, which will help you ladies that suffer with breakouts. Toners are also very hydrating and packed with nourishing ingredients that will soothe the skin. I use the Mario Badescu Aloe Vera Toner and it is absolutely amazing! Kylie Jenner is a massive fan of this skincare brand. You can get it here

If you have oily skin you should definitely try Witch Hazel and if you have dry skin try Rose Water.

Step 3: Moisturise

I've started to notice some fine lines creeping on to my face and I'm doing everything in my power to limit the wrinkles! I have started using a generous layer of rich moisturiser every morning and every evening. I've tried so many moisturisers and I never liked the sticky, greasy feeling they left on my face. I've really taken a shine to Astral, and even though it is a very old product, it's a great one! You can get it here.

Every week I use a facial scrub, my favourite at the moment is St Ives Gentle Apricot Scrub. It has tiny beads which exfoliate your skin, shedding dead skin cells and leaving your skin clean and fresh. You can get it here.

I like to use a mask once a week and I often pick up singular use masks in a pharmacy. There's nothing I've found that I absolutely love yet, but I'm on the lookout!

Hair Care

My hairdresser in Studio 55 Raheny recommended the brand Milk Shake to me about a year ago. I have fallen in love with this brand, it uses all natural products and my hair has never looked better. I use Milk Shake Colour Care Shampoo and the leave in conditioner. Studio 55 are stockists of all products so you can purchase in salon or at the links below.

This shampoo really cleanses the hair and at the same time protects natural and artificial colouring. Get it here.

Instead of using an in shower conditioner I use a spray conditioner. This stays in the hair for longer, detangles knots and leaves a gorgeous texture in my hair. Get it here.
