Makeup Haul; Christmas and New York!

Over the last week I have acquired a hell of a lot of new makeup between Christmas gifts and shopping in New York. I've finally come to terms with the fact I'm a makeup addict and I have no shame. To make me feel a little less guilty about spending so much money I've decided to write a blog post. Some of these products are only available in the US but you can purchase online, and some are available this side of the water.

Firstly were the amazing Inglot products that my mam got me! These are so glittery and fabulous, they add glamour to any look. I got the #85 pigment and stardust pigments #112, #113, #114 and #120. I also got the AMC gel liner in #76 and the freedom shadow in #450.

Next were the amazing complete artistic collection from Nima Brush. I genuinely think I'm one of their biggest fans, I have about 30 of their brushes at this stage! These brushes are Irish, amazing quality, affordable and absolutely gorgeous. You can purchase them here.

No christmas is complete without the Soap and Glory set! I get one every christmas as the products are gorgeous, but we need to spare a moment to appreciate the gorgeous packaging!

I've used the Crest Whitening Strips in the past and I found that they worked really well, I picked up a larger pack (40 Strips) and I can't wait to use them.

As you all know I am a huge Morphe Brushes fan, and when I spotted this palette in 'Rickys NYC Beauty Supply Store' I had to have it. This is the Morphe 35p palette, the colour payoff is second to none. You can get it here.

For years I have been itching to try the Ben Nye Banana powder as I have seen so many youtubers using it. This powder is so finely milled, it sets your under eye concealer perfectly and brightens the undereye fabulously.

The next product I'm going to talk about is loved by beauty bloggers and youtubers all over the world, so I had to stock up! I got the gorgeous Ardell Demi Wispies Lashes for such a great price. You can now get these in boots and some penneys stores!

I also got 'Red Cherry' lashes in #217, I'm raging that they didn't have more in stock!

I took a trip into the Elf Store and it was crazy busy, so I got a few bits and ran. These products are great value but they don't compromise on quality. I purchased the Elf Clay eyeshadow palette in 'Seaside Sweetie' and the undereye setting powder.

The next brand I'm going to talk about is Anastasia Beverly Hills, I had their dipbrow pomade already and only planned on buying a few new colours. But once I saw that stand in Macy's, I had to have it all. I'm about 300 dollars poorer, but these products are fantastic and well worth the money.

I got two new dipbrow pomades in the shades soft brown and medium brown. These are such a brilliant consistency, they fill in any sparse areas and keep your brows in place. You can get them here for €17.90.

I also got the brow wiz to use for natural day time looks. I've never been a fan of brow pencils but this one is so different to any other I've used. You can get it here for €18.50.

I am an eyeshadow fanatic, and being a makeup artist in training I can never have too many. There was a deal on the eyeshadows so I picked up 4 shadows and a case for $40! I purchased the shades #Fawn, #Sienna, #Beauty Mark and #Sangria.

Next up are the liquid lipsticks, which I have been so excited to try! The consistency is amazing, the are so nourishing on the lips and they last for 6-8 hours. I purchased the shades #Pure Hollywood, #Vintage, #Sad Girl and #Potion.

I couldn't choose between the powder or concealer contour kits. When in doubt, buy both!! The powder kit is highly pigmented, a little bit goes a very long way. I'm yet to try the concealer kit, it looks to pretty to wreck it!! You can get the powder contour kit here and the concealer kit here. I bought both kits in the shade light.

There wasn't a chance in hell that I would leave New York without Jaclyn Hill x Becca Cosmetics Highlighter in #Champagne Pop. The hype was huge for this product, and it totally exceeded my expectations. My highlight is officially on fleeeeeeeek.

This sounds crazy but I didn't get time to go into a MAC store. I picked up two products in the duty free though; the Mineralize Skinfinish in #Give Me Sun and Prolongwear Concealer in #NW15. The dollar isn't great at the moment and I can get all the same MAC products at home, so I didn't miss out on too much.

I have tried the Urban Decay Naked Skin foundation in college, but it was time I bought a bottle of my own. This foundation is gold, it is so silky, lightweight and gives the skin the most beautiful glow. I purchased mine in the shade #3.0 which is very similar to MAC NC20/25. You can get it here

Although we have NYX in Ireland, there are some lipstick shades that are near impossible to get a hold of. I purchased #Butter Beurre, #Whipped Caviar and #Euro Trash. I also bought some Soft Matte Lip Creams in work in the shades #Istanbul, #Milan, #Cannes and #Prague.

I also picked up some Morphe brushes! I already have the buffer brush #M439 and it has fast become one of my favourites, so I picked up a second one. I also picked up two blending brushes #M501 and #M511.

You can get these brushes at the links below

M501 here
M511 here

I hope you enjoyed reading this blog and if you have any questions please feel free to ask! I am so excited for what 2016 has in store and I have begun to take bookings for makeup! I am training until May so I have reduced rates until then and I will be fully qualified in May. Mail me for more information on availability and prices.

Lots of love,
