Glow Getter!

A few months ago I purchased my first highlighting powder and I haven't looked back since. I absolutely love how it makes your skin look dewy, radiant and youthful. This blog is about my favourite highlighters and brushes to achieve the perfect highlight.

MAC 'Soft and Gentle' is a cult favourite and it was the first one I bought. It is a gilded peach bronze which looks amazing on lighter skin tones. It's a warm-toned beige with a frosted sheen. I love how it doesn't overemphasise my pores like many other highlighters do. It's very pigmented so a little goes a long way. I purchased mine in  June and I use it quite a lot, but there is hardly a dent in it.

Mary-Lou Manizer by TheBalm has been praised endlessly by beauty lovers. I love the packaging, how cute is it! This is my holy grail highlighter when I want my makeup to look really dramatic. The pigmentation of this product is nothing like I've seen before. A very light hand is needed when using this highlighter! It is smooth, buttery and gorgeously shimmery (without a hint of glitter insight!). I wouldn't recommend this highlight to anyone who want a barely there glow, as it just isn't popular due to the pigmentation. Anyone who loves a highlight, this will be your new best friend! You can get it here and at €20 it won't break the bank.

Last but definitely not least is the highlighter made by my favourite beauty youtuber; Jaclyn Hill. She teamed up with Becca Cosmetics to make one of the most beautiful highlighters I've ever used! I have to start by saying I adore the way in which this product is marketed, right from the name to the packaging. This product is limited edition, I'm frantically looking to get my hands on a back up (I can never live without this again!). This highlighter is so finely milled that when applied it genuinely looks like your own skin. The pigmentation is perfect and you can build the intensity which I adore. It is a champagne/peach shade as the name 'Champagne Pop' suggests and it is perfect for any lady with a light to medium skin tone. It is a slight bit more expensive than the other options, but its worth every penny. You can get it here, there is a waiting list at the moment but stay strong and keep checking back on the website.

I recently discovered this brush on my recent trip to New York. and I can't put it down. I originally purchased it as a blending brush but it fits perfectly onto my cheekbones, nose and brow bone. It is the Morphe M501 and you will absolutely love it! It is under €9 which is very affordable and you can get it here.

My other favourite brush is the 'Jennie' Brush from Nima Brush. I love this brush so much that I own 4 of them!! They are not only amazing for eyeshadow, but also for highlighting the inner corner of the eye, the nose and the cupids bow. This little beauty costs €12 and you can get it here. Don't be fooled by it's size, it is genuinely one of my favourite brushes and I own hundreds. It is the perfect multi purpose brush!

I hope you all enjoyed this blog post and if you have any questions leave them below.

Lots of love,
Ally x
